What is self-Esteem & How does it affect you?

Self-esteem is formed by an individual’s opinion about themselves, which describes their overall sense of self-worth or personal value. Self-esteem can involve an assortment of beliefs about the self, such as the assessment of one’s own outlook, value system, emotions, and conducts.

As we know, self-esteem is an important aspect of personal succeed and happiness.On the high spectrum, too much self-esteem can lead to narcissism which can certainly be repulsive and possibly damage personal relationships. On the low spectrum, it can leave the person feeling helpless and depressed, which leads to bad choices that falls into destructive relationships or failing to fulfill their full potential.

Either way, self-esteem levels at the extreme high and low ends of the spectrum can be damaging, so the ideal is to strike a balance the mid-path, which is a realistic yet positive view of the self.

Know what they value and believe.

The Goals are clear, they know exactly what they are trying to achieve and understand the responsibilities they have in their life.

Makes Decisions based on good judgments.

They recognize their own abilities and believe that can do well in what they are doing. To make a better life, they improve themselves to achieve better results.

Have determination to succeed.

They know that to be succeeding in life, they need to consistently strive for improvement. They learn from their mistakes instead of complain about it.

Assertive with change.

 Value healthy relationship.

They are capable of accepting negative feedback and criticism, without letting it to deny their confidence. They don’t put others down to build up themselves, because they love to bring happiness to others.

Takes care of themselves.

They seek for equilibrium in themselves in terms of physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, in order to carry a better self in front of the people

 Effective Communication skills.

They talk straight to the point, because they have a clear idea on what they are talking about. Hence, create a quality conversation that sends the message effectively.
